Course description
The course content mainly focusses on practical, academic and didactic themes related to art that are relevant to qualifying as a teacher.
Contents
The aim of this part of the master’s degree programme is to consolidate the knowledge and skills learnt in the bachelor’s degree, providing students with professional career-oriented training and enabling them to transition into the teaching profession. The degree has a standard study period of 4 semesters.
The degree programme gives students more practical experience of art media in the application and problem-oriented project module of the research workshop, combines this with the study of art, media and cultural theory studies and promotes an artistic and research-based academic approach. By combining this with the advanced didactics content that is embedded in the school practice phase, students will develop a theoretical and research-based profile that is also tailored to their intended profession.

Praxisphasen im Lehramt
Das Lehramtsstudium hat einen umfangreichen Praxisanteil, der Sie bereits früh mit der praktischen Arbeit als Lehrer:in vertraut macht und Sie darin unterstützt, Ihre Berufswahlentscheidung zu prüfen.
Studierende aller Lehramtsstudiengänge absolvieren die Praxisphasen während des Studiums. Das sind im Bachelor ein Eignungs- und Orientierungspraktikum sowie ein Berufsfeldpraktikum und im Master of Education das Praxissemester.
Nur für Studierende im Lehramt an Berufskollegs ist zusätzlich eine Fachpraktische Tätigkeit vorgeschrieben. Informationen finden Sie beim Landesprüfungsamt NRW.
